Suji i.e Semolina in English is a great flour which is full with nutrients and also many dishes can be made of that. Just like normal flour this flour is not used for making Chapatti. It is made from Durum wheat which is yellow in color. When semolina comes from softer types of wheat, it is white in color. In short Suji is a derivative of whole wheat . This post gives you a healthy formation of this ingredient. This is the perfect breakfast that can help you to be full for a longer period of time . This dish is diet friendly and also contains a less amount of calories.
This dish is good for your whole family as well as its easy to cook. So lets start with it.
Suji Cake Ingredients – For 2 Suji Cakes
- Suji- 1/4 bowl
- Oats – 1/4 bowl
- curd – 1/2 bowl
- Onion – 1 pc
- Carrot – 1/2 pc
- Capsicum – 1 pc
- Ginger – 1 small piece
- Green chilly – 1 pc
- Some coriander
- Baking soda – 1 pinch
- Rai i.e Wray in english – 1 pinch
- Olive oil
- Salt -According to taste
- Red chilly powder – According to taste
Suji cake recipe
Step 1 : Mix Suji-Oats-Curd in a bowl and add some water to make a thick batter.Also leave this batter for 1/2 hour.
Step 2 : Put some finely chopped ginger in the batter . Further also add salt and red chilly powder according to your taste.
Step 3 : Further add all the vegetables like finely chopped onion, carrot, capsicum etc and 1 pinch baking soda in the batter. Mix it well.
Step 4 : Put a pan on the stove and add some olive oil in it and after the olive oil is heated add 1 pinch rai in it. .
Step 5 : Then put some batter in the pan and let it heat. Slim the gas and let it cook for a while. Cover the pan with lid or thali and let it cook.
Step 6 : Take a knife and check that if it is cooked from the other side or not. Make sure that batter is not stick on the tawa. If not, cook suji cake properly from the another side .
Step 7 : After it is ready. Cut it in pieces and enjoy your suji cake with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
